Our children need to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, legumes, cereals and preferably whole grain along with lean meat, fish, poultry and other alternatives. They need lots of protein to build, maintain and repair the body tissues and for their overall growth, carbohydrates and fats to provide energy for their growth and physical activity along withessential fatty acids, calcium and iron.
